Amazon Relay empowers carriers to find work that fits their business, whether it’s spot work on our load board or spot freight. Hauling businesses of any size are eligible for a carrier setup with Relay if they meet our safety, insurance, and other qualifications.

Who is a Relay carrier?
Relay carriers are trucking businesses that have been fully approved to haul loads for Amazon. Through the Amazon Relay program, you can book short-term contracts to help keep your drivers’ schedules full, set your own price by bidding on contract auctions, and browse the load board for spot work. You can even let work come to you by posting equipment on “Post A Truck” and getting automatically matched with trips. Once you are up and running, you can manage all your work in the Relay mobile app. Drivers use the app to get trip information, truck-friendly navigation, and pre-trip weather alerts that all help make the road safer.
What are the requirements to be able to haul with Amazon Relay?
Before you begin your application, ensure that your insurance is up-to-date and you meet these requirements:
- Public Liability insurance £1,000,000
- Motor insurance: £1,200,000
- Goods-in-transit insurance: RHA £9,000 per ton OR £100,000 full value liability/all risks per vehicle
- UK Operating License
- VAT Number

What type of equipment do I need?
We generally work with standard 13.6m box and curtain-sided trailers. We also provide opportunities to work with other equipment types such as 7.5T trucks, tractor units, and different Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFVs).

Once you sign-up, we will be in touch within 2 - 4 business days with next steps. If you meet our requirements, we will invite you to onboard with us. You can start moving loads as soon as you your submitted documents are approved by us.
